




Object of Charity. (1) The object of the Charity shall be the provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the area of the former Urban District of Sandgate (hereinafter called "the area of benefit") without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
(2) The said land and building shall be held upon trust for the purposes of a village hall as aforesaid.
Short Term Objectives: Trustees will prepare audited accounts to be submitted to the Charities Commission. They will take over the day to day running of the hall to ensure the Hall meets Hirers requirements. They will ensure a detailed report is prepared to inform refurbishment decisions.
The current Trustees as elected at the 2010 AGM or soon after are: Cllrs Jan Holben, Zoe Varian and Tim Prater. Community Rep Trustees: Ron Lewis (Sandgate Society). Richard Grundy, David Cowell, Elspeth Rae make up the committee.
